Sims has created dozens of presentations for her professional development sessions. Sims created an SEL card and activities that were distributed to every student in a local school district. Sims is the creator of a Safe Zone program to train staff in K-12 settings regarding the needs of LGBTQ+ youth. Sims has created Behavior Support Classrooms with a structured points and levels system and sensory equipment to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
